Frequently asked questions
FAQs
Questions about food, drinks, paint sessions, bookings, and events all in one place.
Do you have parking and accessibility?
Both locations include nearby public transport access. We recommend calling for parking advice per location.
Do you take walk-ins for paint?
Walk-ins are best effort based on materials and staff availability. Pre-booking is the recommended path.
Do you serve matcha?
Yes. Matcha is part of our drink list and linked to Flinch Matcha branding for deeper product details.
Is Pokémon still part of the vibe?
Yes, the Pokémon presence is visible in-store and community events. The shop side remains linked to flinchcollectibles.com.au.
Do you host private events?
Do you have a membership program?
Yes. Join the Flinch community list for paint updates, food and drink moments, matcha news, Pokémon kids events and future member perks.
How long does a paint session take?
Most paint sessions take 1–2 hours depending on the size and complexity of your chosen piece. Private parties run for 2–2.5 hours including food and drinks time. Walk-in sessions have no fixed end time as long as the venue isn't fully booked.
Can I bring my own food or cake?
Yes. You can bring a cake and we will store it in our fridge during your visit. Let us know in advance if you have a birthday cake so staff can assist with serving. Outside food beyond cakes is generally not permitted — ask the team if you have specific dietary needs.
What age is suitable for the painting activity?
Children from about 4 years old can enjoy painting with adult supervision. The After School Express sessions are designed for kids from 3:00pm–4:30pm. For younger children, simpler pieces and extra parental support are recommended. Adults are very welcome too — paint sessions are popular for date nights and solo visits.
Do you cater for dietary requirements and allergies?
Yes. Please include your dietary requirements when you book so the kitchen team can confirm what's available. The menu includes Japanese-inspired dishes with various options — gluten-free bases are available on some items. For groups with multiple dietary needs, contact us in advance via the Contact page.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
For regular table bookings, please cancel via the booking link in your confirmation email. For private party enquiries, cancellation and deposit terms are confirmed during the booking process. Contact the team directly if you need to change or cancel a booking.
Do you have two locations?
Yes — Thornbury at 560 High Street (VIC 3071) and Melbourne CBD at 18 Little Lonsdale Street (VIC 3000). Both venues offer food, drinks and painting. Opening hours and available designs may vary slightly between locations.
